Eclipse Energy is proud to announce the addition of Sean Hendrix as the new Director of Test Operations and Battery Solutions, deepening and expanding the expertise of their seasoned team. Sean most recently served as A123’s Executive Director of Engineering, overseeing all of their technology roadmapping, helping establish overseas manufacturing facilities, and playing a key role in their strategic customer relationships. Before that, he oversaw all of engineering, technology, and product development at Delphi spinoff EnerDel, building on a prior electrical systems integration role at Toyota.
“The addition of Sean is a key step in expanding Eclipse’s historic strength in lead acid battery testing, tear-down, and competitive analysis offerings,” said Bob Galyen, Eclipse founder and board member. “Sean’s deep systems integration approach to battery solutions ensures that we provide a strategic approach to customers, bringing added value beyond merely reporting raw data sets.”
Sean will oversee all lab operations, including test setup and data integrity assurance to the reporting and consulting aspects of customer engagement. He will also allow Eclipse to expand testing and analysis more deeply into lithium ion battery cells, modules, and systems.
“He brings a high-level understanding of the discrete challenges associated with each application, helping customers move through their research and development process much more efficiently,” remarked David Roberts, Eclipse board member. “Sean’s diverse background means that he understands and can serve the earliest stage startups, small suppliers, large manufacturing companies, and international partners looking for assistance with their U.S. market strategy.”
